The highly anticipated Nürburgring Nordschleife DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione will launch on April 1, 2024, for PC players.

The Nürburgring 24H DLC pack will be available for players on Steam starting on April 1, a date that some fans assumed could be an April Fools prank when it was initially leaked. However, a tweet from the official Assetto Corsa Competizione account confirmed earlier today that will indeed launch in a few weeks.

The DLC will bring the highly anticipated addition of the Nordschleife track at the Nürburgring. The Nürburgring GP track has been in Assetto Corsa Competizione for a while, but the addition of the massive Nordschleife track has been one of the most requested features for ACC in recent years. With the 24H Nürburgring race being added to the SRO calendar in real life this year, it also meant that the track could finally be added to the game.

There is currently no word on when the DLC will be added to the Xbox and PlayStation versions of ACC, however, there is typically a delay of a few months between PC releases and console releases when it comes to previous DLC packs. There has also been no confirmation of how much the DLC will cost.

Obviously, the Nordschleife will become the longest track in ACC once it releases in a few weeks, which will present a unique challenge for players. The track is one of the most difficult to drive in the world at almost 13 miles long and features twists and turns that require complete concentration at all times from drivers. The assumption is that the track will be added to the top level of competition in ACC pretty quickly, so the pro drivers will have to learn how to master this massive track as soon as it is released.

Reaction from the ACC community has been incredibly positive so far, with many top players showing their excitement that the DLC is only a few weeks away.

Of course, Assetto Corsa Competizione is the official GT World Challenge videogame, trying to simulate real-world competition as closely as possible in the virtual space. This year the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring race will join the Intercontinental GT Challenge circuit, with the race scheduled to take place at the end of May. No doubt, some of the drivers in the real-life race will take to ACC in the weeks before to try to get some practice in the virtual world before heading onto the track in real life.
