Following the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, players have been enjoying the new Verdansk ’84 map, along with all of its new features. This is the most substantial update Warzone has received, giving us a revamped map, new weapons, and lots of bug fixes across the board. Since its release in 2020, Warzone was home to many secrets, most notably its bunkers that were scattered around the map, requiring a red access card, key code, or another method to enter. Some of them contained secrets that tied to the overall lore, while others simply had loot that would give you the upper hand during a match.

With the launch of Season 3, you might be wondering if the bunkers are still there, and if so, how to access them. All of the numbered bunkers (00 to 11) are in their exact locations as before, though you aren’t able to interact with them at this time. Likewise, the separate bunkers that previously required an access code are either inaccessible or nowhere to be found, such as the hidden room that used to be in Farmland (now replaced by the large building from the Standoff map).

Other aspects like the Morse Code used to access bunker 11, as well as the bunkers that were added later on (like at Airport or Military Base), have been removed. For all intents and purposes, Warzone‘s bunkers have been reset during Season 3 and will likely expand as time goes on (just like last year). For now, you can still visit each main bunker, though you cannot enter them just yet. Still, let’s take a look at which bunkers remain and where to find them.

What’s in the bunkers?

Previously, bunkers would contain lots of loot, including orange and blue chests, killstreaks, and even a chain gun. Before Season 3, you’d need a red access card to get into these bunkers, which would randomly spawn from a chest in the world. As we approached Season 3‘s release, these red access cards stopped spawning. Now, following the update, you are unable to enter any of these bunkers. If you try to interact with the keypad, it won’t give you a prompt, indicating they’re currently offline.

Though you shouldn’t be worried, as Warzone is an ever-changing battle royale. It’s likely Raven Software will implement a new way to enter these bunkers, whether it be via access card, keycode, or Easter egg, like before. It’s also possible new bunkers will make an appearance, so keep your eyes peeled for future updates.

Once the bunkers are accessible, we imagine you’ll be able to find loot just like before, but there might even be new features added that correspond to the overarching narrative of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. For now, sit tight, and you’ll probably be able to access the bunkers soon.

Above is a new map of all the bunkers that are present during Season 3. These are the main bunkers that first kicked things off in Warzone last year, and fortunately, they have not been altered in any way (aside from the fact that you can’t enter them yet). You’ll notice bunkers 02/03 and 07/08 are right next to one another, so you’ll want to remember that when you stop by. Below is a more detailed description of each location.

Bunker 00: South of Promenade West

Bunker 00 is located in the south section of Promenade West. It’s just below a small cliff that leads to the out-of-bounds area. This bunker is super easy to miss, so just make sure you’re thorough when looking for it, and be careful of going out of bounds or falling off the cliff.

Bunker 01: Kart racing track

Northwest of the previous bunker, you’ll find Bunker 01. It’s located north of the go-kart track after you go down some steps. Look for a smaller structure that contains this bunker, slightly southwest of the Boneyard.

Bunker 02/Bunker 03: Junkyard

Bunkers 02 and 03 are located right next to one another. You’ll find 02 in another outside structure, much like the last bunker. It’s south of 03 and southwest of Storage Town. As for Bunker 03, it can be found just slightly north of 02, in a large building. Once you enter the building, head to the right and drop down the ladder to find Bunker 03.

Bunker 04: Summit

You’ll find Bunker 04 southeast of Summit (where Dam was previously located), to the north of some smaller trailers. Unlike the last few bunkers, this door is right outside, so there’s no need to look for a larger building that contains it. Look for it in the cliffs.

Bunker 05: Arklov Peak Military Base

The next bunker is located south of the Military Base, near a radio tower. Again, you’ll find it outside, much like Bunker 04, along some cliffs. This bunker is found near a high-traffic area. Be cautious if you plan to visit this one, as players from Military Base can easily come up behind you.

Bunker 06: Bloc 18 (not accessible during season 2)

To locate Bunker 06, head southeast of Salt Mine (previously Quarry). You’ll notice a large train tunnel to its left — make sure you don’t confuse the two. Bunker 06 is just above the train tunnel, to its left. You’ll find it outside.

Bunker 07/Bunker 08: Karst Bridge

This is the other set of two. You’ll find them northeast of the Stadium, but be careful, as this is a high-traffic area. This set is similar to the format of Bunkers 02 and 03. Bunker 07 is found in the smaller building, and you’ll need to go down some steps to locate it. Bunker 08 is in the larger structure, and you’ll have to enter it and go down a ladder. The bunker doors are right across from one another. It’s best to avoid these two bunkers if possible since they’re found in such a busy area.

Bunker 09: Zordaya prison complex

Just northeast of the prison, you’ll find Bunker 09 on the side of a cliff. This bunker door is outside, to the east of the large bridge that exits the prison.

Bunker 10: Styor Spomenik

Bunker 10 is located west of the last, near the large spiral staircase that overlooks the park. You’ll find it just off the main road that leads to Downtown. The bunker entrance is part of a larger structure, so enter it and go down some stairs to find the door.

Bunker 11: Bloc 23

The 11th and final bunker is in the far north section of the map, northwest of the Military Base. You’ll find it outside on the side of a cliff, to the north of the fire station. This was previously only accessible by solving the Morse Code riddle, but now that none of the bunkers are accessible, we’ll have to wait for a future update to get inside.

Rebirth Island bunker

The famous bunker at Rebirth Island remains in the Headquarters area following the Season 3 update. You used to have to complete an elaborate Easter egg to gain access to this bunker, though, at this time, it’s unclear if this process is still the same following the recent update. Based on our testing, we were unable to locate the briefcases needed for the Easter egg, so it’s likely it has been changed. We’ll continue to update this post as we find more information about the Rebirth Island bunker.

What other secrets are there?

Across Verdansk ’84 are a handful of teases toward potential new secrets, especially if you visit the Salt Mine area. As part of the overview of Verdansk ’84 map on the Call of Duty website, Activision mentions that these entrances are “currently sealed,” implying that they will be opened at some point in the future. It’s unconfirmed if this is true, but the doors are just begging to be opened, and it’s likely we’ll find out what’s beyond them soon.

Aside from that, there are a few gated areas around Salt Mine that you can look into, each with a tunnel that veers off to the side, hiding what it contains. The mine on the west side of the map close to Airport also has a small tunnel with rubble that seems to be blocking a path that might be uncovered later on. In short, Verdansk ’84 has a ton of secrets that will probably be uncovered as the game gets updated.
