Mario Bros. Wonder – All secret exits
Super Mario Bros. Wonder secret exits are the most important secrets in a game absolutely packed with them.
Just like in previous 2D Mario games, some levels in Mario Bros. Wonder have a second flagpole which can only be reached via a specific, hidden path through the level.
Finding a secret exit will reward players with a third Wonder Seed and usually, access to a previously hidden level, challenge or even the Special World.
Read on below and we’ll detail all secret exits in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Good luck!
Super Mario Bros. Wonder secret exits
There are 7 secret exits in Super Mario Bros. Wonder:
- Secret Exit One: Piranha Plants on Parade
- Secret Exit Two: Bulrush Coming Through!
- Secret Exit Three: Bulrush Express
- Secret Exit Four: Outmaway Valley
- Secret Exit Five: Secrets of Shova Mansion
- Secret Exit Six: Where the Rrrumbas Rule
- Secret Exit Seven: Hot-Hot Hot!
Secret Exit One: Piranha Plants on Parade
World 1
Reward: Pipe to Captain Toad
In Piranha Plants on Parade, progress through the stage until you collect the Wonder Seed at the end of the Piranha Plant musical.
To the left of where you collect the Wonder Seed is a platform at the top of the screen with three pipes sticking out. Use the note platforms to jump on top of it, which will reveal the path to the secret exit.
The rewaed for this secret exit is a red pipe to Captain Toad, who will giver you 50 Flower Coins.
Secret Exit Two: Bulrush Coming Through!
World 1
Reward: Wonder Seed
This one’s easy. In Bulrush Coming Through! activate the Wonder Flower by riding the Bulrush into the four shining blocks it’s hidden behind.
This will activate a Bulrsuh stampede which you should ride until the end of the level, instead of attempting to avoid of jump away from.
Eventually, the stampede will knock down the standard exit and take you to the Wonder Seed in the clouds. Keep going right and you’ll find the secret exit.
Secret Exit Three: Bulrush Express
World 1
Reward: New stages and Special World
Just like the previous level, in Bulrush Express you’ll want to ride the stampede until the end of the level – but make sure you have an Elephant power-up in reserve.
Activate the Wonder Flower effect and ride the stampede as normal until you reach the Wonder Seed at the end of the stage.
In order to reach the hidden exit, you’ll need to either be in Elephant form or have an Elephant power-up in reserve. Smash the blocks to the right of the Wonder Seed (pictured above) and you’ll reach the secret exit.
Secret Exit Four: Outmaway Valley
World 2
Reward: Wonder Seed
Here’s another easy one. In Outamaway Valley you’ll fist need to find and activate the Wonder Flower, which is hidden inside a giant ice block in the middle of the stage, to the right of a pair of yellow pipes.
Next, ride the avalanche until it smashes through the standard exit, eventually stopping at a platform with a Wonder Seed. Keep progressing to the right and you’ll soon arrive at the secret exit.
Secret Exit Five: Secrets of Shova Mansion
World 4
Reward: New Stages and Special World
In Secrets of Shova Mansion, progress through the stage normally until you reach the final room containing the standard exit flagpole.
At the entrance to this room you’ll see six shining, smashable blocks in front of a green moveable platform.
Take out the nearby Shova, destroy the blocks, and push it inside of the nearly created gap. A gold pipe will spawn and lead you to the secret exit.
Secret Exit Six: Where the Rrrumbas Rule
World 6
Reward: Badge Challenge
In Where the Rrrumbas Rule, you’ll need to first find a Drill Mushroom power-up.
Play the stage as normal until you reach the large, pushable pillar that smashes through the floor, with a talking flower in front who notes how unstable it looks (pictured above).
Instead of pushing the pillar, drill into the ceiling and traverse over it until you reach a gap in the wall which will lead you to the level’s secret exit.
Secret Exit Seven: Hot-Hot Hot!
World 6
Reward: Observatory
In order to reach the secret exit in Hot-Hot-Hot! you need to ctivate the purple flower high above the midway checkpoint flag. T
he flower is on top of floating clouds, so you’ll need to navigate the hot rocks carefully and ascend vertically in order to reach it.
Once activated, the purple flower will travel back closer to the start of the stage and spawn a doorway to the secret exit area.
