Generally speaking, we’re not expecting this year’s event to deviate much from the tried-and-true discounts at leading retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, but one thing is sure – we’re almost certain to see record-low prices on plenty of highly reviewed tech.
This is also the page we’ll be using to round up this year’s Cyber Monday deals once the time comes. Subsequently, we highly recommend bookmarking this page before December.
Cyber Monday deals 2024: FAQ
When is Cyber Monday 2024?
2024’s Cyber Monday will fall on December 2nd this year. For reference, Cyber Monday always occurs the following Monday after Black Friday, which in turn follows Thanksgiving.
If you’re looking for a bargain, however, note that we’ll likely see plenty of deals ahead of the big day itself – sometimes upwards of a month in advance, in fact. Last year, for example, we even had a second Amazon Prime Day in October, dubbed the ‘Prime Big Deal Days’ sale (running from Oct. 10-11).
Generally speaking, we usually recommend our readers be on the lookout from November 1st onwards. That’s not only based on our anecdotal experience of covering these events for many years but also backed up in data. Adobe’s 2023 shopping forecast report tracked prices last year and found that discounts started in October with an average of 5-8% off. These discounts then deepened from 12-20% off around November 1st, followed by further reductions of up to 30% in the week preceding Black Friday.

Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?
In terms of deal quality – not really. Both events feature relative parity when it comes to overall discounts. You may see a few Cyber Monday specials and visa versa, but generally speaking you’ll see the same things on sale with similar prices.
We’ve been covering both events for years here at TechRadar and we can confidently say you’ll be able to get great tech deals on both days. It used to be the case that Black Friday was more focused on brick-and-mortar sales while Cyber Monday was more online-based, but that’s simply not the case now. Both are primarily online-focused these days – and you don’t need to rush out to find a great deal. As previously mentioned, you may even have a few days to consider your purchase and do some research.
In terms of spend, Cyber Monday actually exceeds Black Friday at $12.4B vs $9.98B, which we’d put down to the ‘fear of missing out’ factor and the fact that consumers are more aware that they have time to research now.
Once discounted on Black Friday, retailers don’t tend to further discount items on Cyber Monday, although we do often see ‘flash sales’ or something similar. These don’t tend to be on massively popular tech like iPads or Air Pods, but they do sometimes cover more nice things like vacuums or cameras. Amazon in particular loves a ‘lightning deal’ so keep an eye out for those throughout the period.
What Cyber Monday deals should we expect in 2024
- Similar discounts to Black Friday
- Genuine record-low prices on tech
- TVs, laptops, headphones, smartwatches
- Apparel, toys, mattresses, appliances also featured
- Sales from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and more
While we can’t get our crystal ball out and determine exactly what this year’s Cyber Monday deals will entail, we can confidently say you’ll see some of the lowest prices all year on highly reviewed tech. Last year’s sale, for example, had some outstanding options for tech lovers across the board.
We saw record-breaking discounts across a range of our favorite models here at TechRadar, such as the MacBook Air 15, the Dell XPS 13, and the iPad 10.9. While there were plenty of TV deals starting as low as $50, Our TV of the year, the stunning Samsung S90C OLED was on sale for its lowest-ever price over Cyber Monday. Gamers also had some great choices in the form of decent Xbox Series X and Meta Quest 3 bundles (including discounts and free games).
Outside of core tech, we also found some superb discounts on small appliances, with air fryers starting at just $29, record-low prices on Shark and Dyson vacuums, and plenty of options for coffee machines, Instant Pots, and other useful kitchen additions.
Other areas where we’re expecting fantastic Cyber Monday deals are in competitive categories like toys, mattresses and apparel. Of the three, we’ll be most heavily featuring mattresses in our Cyber Monday roundup since we personally review mattresses all year round. We’ve generally observed some of the best prices on our favorite mattresses over Cyber Monday so stay tuned for those.
We don’t usually recommend specific apparel here at TechRadar but we will include extensive overview of the best sales to check out over Cyber Monday. These will usually include clothing sales, as well as other useful stores like Lowes or Home Depot.
