When were the best Black Friday camera deals?
Amazon US and Amazon UK continue to prove a great source for cameras on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and beyond, consistently holding a wide range of mirrorless camera stock from the likes of Canon, Panasonic, Sony and Nikon, plus GoPro action cameras, DJI drones and the best dash cams. That’s why the Black Friday drone deals and Black Friday GoPro deals tend to be very popular during the sales event. If you have Amazon Prime you can often get next-day delivery.
In the US, the likes of Adorama, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Walmart can also undercut Amazon’s prices, particularly if you’re looking for a bundle with lots of accessories. For UK shoppers, the best Amazon alternatives are usually Park Cameras, Wex Photo Video and Jessops.

Was Black Friday really the best time to buy a camera?
As a general rule, Black Friday is a great time to buy a new camera, but in some cases retailers mark up the prices of cameras in the run-up in order to offer a seemingly bigger discount during the actual sales event. This doesn’t necessarily make them a bad buy – on many occasions, their prices still drop to record lows. But in the grand scheme, the percentage saving may not be quite as large as advertised.
In these situations, we only highlight the actual saving of any Black Friday deal based on the camera’s recent price history, and we will make sure it’s a genuinely good buy by looking further back. This isn’t necessarily the norm, though, and many cameras do simply drop to their lowest-ever price for a brief period over Black Friday, particularly in Amazon’s Lightning deals. These are often among the best camera deals of the year.
The good news is that if you missed the sales event, the majority of the bargains remain to be had in the following days.
